Dermatology
Outpatient care is divided into 19 subspecialties: General Ambulatory and Ambulatory Didactics, Allergy, Dermatological Surgery,Childhood Dermatology, Onicopathies, Atopic Dermatitis, Collagenosis, Mycology, Non-Aesthetic Dermatoses, Photodermatosis and Phototherapy, Stomatology, Hansenologia, Vasculitis, Psoriasis, Cutaneous Oncology, Primary and Acquired immunodeficiencies, Bullous Diseases, Cryosurgery, and Sexually Transmitted Diseases. The Dermatology Division of the USP Medical School is one of the few in the world that has its specific ambulatory.

Speech Therapy, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy (FOFITO)
The department, formed by the three areas, was constituted in 1999, with the denomination of FOFITO. The political-pedagogical projects of the courses are guided both by the innovations generated by the production and the knowledge of the specific areas and by the trends that emanate from the field of health and education policies.

Gastroenterology
This area encompasses the disciplines of Pathophysiological Bases of the Medical Clinic in Gastroenterology, Medical clinic and Digestive System Surgery. Among the main lines of research are: viral hepatitis and cirrhosis, autoimmune diseases of the liver, intestinal inflammatory disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease, liver transplantation and pancreas transplantation.

Legal Medicine, Medical Ethics, Social and Occupational Medicine

It also comprises the Department of Forensic Medicine, Medical Ethics and Social and Occupational Medicine in the area of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, working with HCFMUSP and the Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (IMREA). The Department also has the Technical and Scientific Center for Humanization (NTH); in addition to the Caminho de Volta Project, which collaborates with government agencies in the search for missing children in the State of São Paulo.
Preventive Medicine
The objective of preventive medicine is to produce knowledge to improve health prevention and health care practices, as well as to train staff capable of acting with technical competence, critical ability and humanistic commitment in the practice of medicine and the various professions in the health sector. Its activities are grouped into three major areas: Human and Social Sciences in Health; Epidemiology; and Health Policy, Planning, Management and Evaluation.

Infectious and Parasitic Diseases
This department develops its activities integrated to the Clinical Division of Infectious and Parasitic Diseases of Hospital das Clínicas. The main research areas of this department are: HIV / AIDS infection; hepatitis:endemic, hospital and immunosuppressed infections; intensive therapy; immunizations; accidents with venomous animals; and viral infections.

Neurology
Area formed by the disciplines of Clinical Neurology, Neurosurgery, Child Neurology, and Experimental Neurology. Its main lines of research are molecular biology and the mechanisms of neuroprotection, neuromodulation, neural regeneration and neurostimulation.

Obstetrics and Gynecology
Through undergraduate education the teaching activities is carried out in the clinical cycle (3rd and 4th years) and in the internship (5th and 6th years), as well as in Physical Therapy. At the lato sensu graduate course, the area offers the Medical Residency Program in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Mastology, as well as specialization courses in the areas of Fetal Medicine, High Risk Pregnancy, Human Reproduction, Endometriosis and Urogynecology.
It also carries out assistance activities in the Hospital das Clínicas and the University Hospital.

Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology
The Department of Ophthalmology produces impact research, published in relevant publications and debated in scientific forums.
The Department of Otorhinolaryngology is responsible for intense scientific production and has the objective of dealing both clinically and surgically with different pathologies of the area.

Orthopedics and Traumatology
This department is a national reference in spinal cord injuries, reconstructive microsurgery, limb reimplantations, microinvasive fracture surgeries, arthroscopy techniques, endoprosthesis or tissue banks reconstructions in the large resections of musculoskeletal tumors, traumatology and patient rehabilitation.

Pathology
Area responsible for 13 disciplines offered in the undergraduate medicine course, among them General Pathology, Set of Special Pathology Disciplines, and Telemedicine. In addition, it is also responsible for the autopsies of the patients of the Hospital das Clínicas, the Division of Pathological Anatomy and the Central Laboratory of HC.
Pediatrics
Department formed by the disciplines of Preventive and Social Pediatrics, Clinical Pediatrics, Neonatal Pediatrics and Intensive Care, and Pediatric Surgery and Liver Transplantation. It also has Medical Research Laboratories to support research.
Psychiatry
The activities of the department in the area of education cover the undergraduate studies (including boarding school), lato sensu graduate program (including Medical Residency) and stricto sensu graduate program. The undergraduate program is responsible for a module of Psychiatry in the discipline of Physiological Basis of the Medical Clinic and for the disciplines of Humanistic Bases of Medicine, Medical Psychology and Clinical Psychiatry. In the context of the research,it exerts important national leadership in basic and clinical research in the areas of Childhood and Adolescence Psychiatry, Developmental Psychiatry, Preventive Psychiatry, Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Schizophrenia, Geriatric Psychiatry, Genetics and Epidemiology.

Radiology and Oncology
The department is linked to the Institute of Radiology (InRad) of HCFMUSP, formed by the Diagnostic Imaging Divisions, Diagnostic and Therapeutic Interventional Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine. The Diagnostic Imaging area has several groups divided into thorax, internal medicine, neuroradiology, head and neck, musculoskeletal and woman's imaging.
