The First Summit of the Digital Health Program presented the advances of the initiative and the project's projections for 2022. The event took place on the morning of December 13, in the auditorium of the Institute of Radiology (InRad) of the Hospital das Clínicas of Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo (HCFMUSP) and also featured online transmission for the entire Complex.

The Superintendent of HCFMUSP, Antonio José Rodrigues Pereira, opened the event. “Once again, Hospital das Clínicas breaks paradigms. I am sure that the results presented are of great value to demonstrate what has been done in the Digital Health Program. The numbers are significant considering the patient's journey. Congratulations to everyone involved in the project.”

The main advances of the initiative in 2021 were presented by the Chairman of the InRad Board of Directors and President of Inova HC, Prof. Dr. Giovanni Guido Cerri. “I am pleased to see how the Digital Health Program has managed to make progress in such a short time. Bringing this project to HCFMUSP was a big challenge, we didn't imagine the scale that the program would have. In the end, it will be the most transformative mechanism for health in this next decade”, he stressed.

Prof. Head of the Pulmonology Discipline at FMUSP and Director of the Pulmonology Division at InCor, Prof. Dr. Carlos Roberto Ribeiro de Carvalho spoke about the results of the teleconsultation workshops and listed the perspectives for 2022. “Hospital das Clínicas will become a leader in digital health. For this, we need to invest in infrastructure, constantly. The Institutes will need adequate infrastructure and trained people. It is essential that there are public and private partnerships, that the patient is placed at the center and is seen in an integrated way. We intend to maintain the actions carried out in 2021. The patient's journey is a challenge that we will have to develop in the coming year”, he highlights.
