Prof. Dr. Chao Lung Weng, Associate and Head of the Discipline of Telemedicine, Department of Pathology, Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo (FMUSP), is one of the contributors to the third volume of the Manual do Gestor Hospitalar (Hospital Manager Manual), organized by the Federação Brasileira de Hospitais (Brazilian Federation of Hospitals - FBH) and released on December 16, 2021.

In the Hospital Manager Manual, the objective is to qualify the health sector, and in the new edition, the topics covered are: triple IHI objective for improving hospital management, clinical governance, person-centered care, multidisciplinary team management, process management, leadership digital, competency management, data protection, contract management and, a specific chapter on telemedicine, precisely the subject to which Prof. Dr. Chao Lung made his appearance.

The publication was launched during the Meeting of Hospital Managers of the State of Goiás, whose theme was “Management, Qualification and Sustainability for the Health Sector”. It was attended by Dr. Adelvânio Francisco Morato, President of FBH and the Association of Hospitals of the State of Goiás and Dr. Fábio Gastal, president of the National Accreditation Organization (ONA). The event was broadcast online through FBH's social networks.

“The chapter addresses how to promote Responsible Telemedicine and organizational development in a hospital for structuring a Connected Hospital 5.0, with service network organization, increased efficiency and expansion to Telemonitoring services or supervised home recovery (Telecare or Telemulticare) – Distributed Health”, declared Prof. Chao.
