Description: Understanding the mechanisms of the child's physiological immune response and its disorders, enabling early identification of autoimmune diseases and primary immunodeficiencies.

6. MECHANISMS OF ANTI-INFECTIOUS RESISTANCE AND TROPHIC FACTORS OF HUMAN MILK
Description: Study of the immune components of human milk that have anti-infectious activity and trophic factors.

7. THERAPEUTIC INTERVENTIONS IN PEDIATRIC DISEASES
Description: Study of therapeutic interventions in pediatric diseases, pharmacological or non-pharmacological, evaluating indications and outcomes, from ambulatory patients to critically ill ones.
Research project: Critical evaluation of the use of inotropes in the tertiary neonatal intensive care unit.

8. DIAGNOSTIC AND PROGNOSTIC MARKERS OF PEDIATRIC DISEASES
Description: Study of markers aimed at early diagnosis, genetics, therapeutic response, and survival in pediatric diseases. It also involves the study of the latest laboratory methodologies, such as molecular diagnosis.

9. CHRONIC DISEASES IN CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS: IMPACT ON PHYSICAL, PSYCHIC HEALTH, AND SOCIAL RELATIONSHIPS
Description: Study of the impact of chronic diseases and treatment, assessing the sequelae of the disease and/or treatment, as well as interference in the patient's quality of life and their social circle.
