The potential of social media as a tool of communication and engagement was one of the themes of the lecture “Connecting People”, given by the TV host and entrepreneur Marcos Mion, during the celebration of the 25 years of the Radiology Institute of HCFMUSP. Held on the auditorium of the institute, the celebration counted on the presence of Prof. Giovanni Guido Cerri, president of the Directors Board of InRad, the engineer Marcos Bego, Innovation Director of HCFMUSP, and the also engineer Antônio José Rodrigues Pereira, superintendent of HCFMUSP.

Health professionals, administrators, ombudsmen, engineers, journalists, receptionists, IT professionals, physics, chemists, messengers, doormen, architects, the whole array of professional segments involved in the daily routine of the InRad were honored in the speeches of Prof. Cerri and the engineers Bego and Pereira. In emotional speeches, the importance of those professionals was reminded for the national and international protagonism the institute represents today.

The occasion also counted on the presence of Bernardo Chassot and Yuri Lima, developers of a new tool aimed at the internal communication of InRad, It’s a workplace, hosted at the social media Facebook.

Still in construction phase, the internet page can be used as another management tool, since it promotes the integration of the work fronts of the institute. According to Marcos Bego, the several professionals and hierarchical levels of the institution will be able to interact by bringing demands and proposing ideas to improve processes.

“The main idea is to destruct barriers, in a way everyone can speak without the need of middlemen and in a way that what happens in the senior management offices can be brought to all. Everything can be transformed with training and improvements. All voices will be heard and will have a reply and, if the proposal is good enough, it will be implemented”, said Bego.
