In order to position Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo (FMUSP) as a world-class educational center, the International Relations Commission (CRInt), through its International Office, has been establishing strategic partnerships and strengthening existing relationships with institutions of different regions of the globe.
Throughout the first semester of 2023, the Faculty's mobility program for foreign graduates will receive 54 students from 29 institutions spread across 14 different nations, including the Netherlands, Colombia, Portugal, Germany, USA, Peru, United Kingdom, among others.
“I believe that we have definitely managed to overcome the insecurity that the pandemic has brought to foreign students in recent years and that we will finally be able to resume the growth in the number of exchange students here at FMUSP”, says the Assistant for International Relations, Douglas Bartholomeu. "Their presence is important to promote the exchange of experiences with our students and increase the international atmosphere at the Faculty."
FMUSP welcomes students to take internship subjects and to carry out elective internships in the Faculty’s many departments. Currently, among FMUSP’s partner universities, the ones that have sent the most students are Pennsylvania State University, Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Rijksuniversiteit Groningen and Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
