In April 2022, Hospital das Clínicas da Faculdade de Medicina da USP (HCFMUSP) celebrated 78 years of foundation, during which time it consolidated its excellence and international recognition in teaching, research, care, and innovation.

Inaugurated on April 19, 1944, HCFMUSP became an institution that stands out for its ethics, humanism, social responsibility, pluralism, pioneering spirit, and commitment to health.

In 600 thousand square meters of constructed area, more than 20,000 collaborators work under the motto: "Together We Are + HC, Together We Are Better". And in this 78th anniversary, the Hospital das Clínicas incorporates digital health and transforms the area of innovation into reality.

In the last two years, HCFMUSP faced another great challenge in its history, helping to save thousands of lives during the Covid-19 pandemic - the biggest health crisis in the modern world.
