Professor Augusto Scalabrini Neto, Associate at the Clinical Emergencies Discipline of the Department of Internal Medicine and Coordinator of the Skills and Simulation Laboratory at the Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo (FMUSP), has received the honorary title of Fellowship bestowed by the Latin American Federation of Clinical Simulation and Patient Safety (FLASIC). The tribute was presented during the 7th Latin American Congress of Clinical Simulation and Patient Safety, which took place in Cancun, Mexico, from May 17th to 20th, 2023. The Fellowship is granted to individuals nominated by their respective countries who have excelled in the implementation of simulation-based education in the continent.
Additionally, a scientific work developed at the Skills and Simulation Laboratory (LabHab) of FMUSP, authored by Dr. Thomaz Bittencourt Couro, Dr. Patrícia de Freitas, and Professor Augusto Scalabrini Neto, has been ranked first place at the Congress of Clinical Simulation and Patient Safety. The title of the work is "Escape Room and Pediatric Emergency applied to Medical School students: a randomized clinical trial".
